Testimonials
Chris has provided amazing support and guidance to our daughter to help her manage a number of difficult situations and emotions she was encountering. Through a range of one-to-one discussions and innovative activities the impact on her life and interactions with others has been hugely positive, equipping her with knowledge and skills which will be invaluable as she grows up. We are especially delighted that as the culmination of all of the above, she was recently made Head Girl at school!

Hi Chris, don’t know if you will remember me it’s ‘C M’, you worked with me in Roundhay High School. You really did help me a lot, and you where always someone I could comfortably talk to. I just wanted to say thank you for everything, all your support and advice and I hope you’re doing well. I know it’s just a random email popping and having dealt with some difficult challenges, I was just thinking and then thought about you and all your support and advice, and I realised that I never really said thank you for it all. I just wanted you to know I am grateful for everything you did for me. You’re a very kind-hearted person and I will always remember you and what you did for me.

Good Morning Mrs P. I just wanted to share how positive our son 'H' was when he came home yesterday after his meeting with Chris Manners. 'H' told us Chris was 'Inspirational' - and 'H' seems like his mindset had actually changed. He came straight in, gave us a kiss and took off for a run! 'H' is very keen to see Chris again and said he would be more than happy to stay late after school in order to see Chris if that would avoid him having to miss his session, if it cannot be rescheduled? 'H' has not stopped talking about Chris and it's so lovely to see some positivity coming from him. Thank you so much for co-ordinating this for 'H'. Its amazing!

The work done by Chris has been absolutly invaluable in supporting our son, who has Aspergers. He has helped improve his self-confidence and belief in himself enabling him to access full-time school after a period of 20 months. Chris has supported us as parents through some very testing times, he is always available for advice and goes above and beyond to support our son in achieving his potential. My son has a great respect for Chris and looks up to him as a mentor and guide.

Hi Chris,
You may remember me from Nortonthorpe Hall in 2007. While a pupil at NTH I got into a lot of trouble and once resulting in be being arrested. My time at NTH was a life changing experience and I wanted to take this opportunity after finding your website online to thank you for the positive influence that you have had on my life. Since leaving NTH I struggled to find a job and stayed positive and adopted your attitude that you had when being rejected from the army and kept on searching. After meeting my partner who I have been with for 4 and a half years and moved to Cheltenham (Gloucestershire) with I now have a share in a successful business, 2 properties in the UK and a property in the South of Spain. I have also just finished a diploma in Access to HE which has gained me entry to University which I have a place starting in September 2016 to do an honours degree in nursing. My success in life could not of been accomplished without such positive influences such as yourself. Once again I want to thank you for never giving up on myself and other students and because of this I am one of the many people that will never forget what you have given to the youth of my time and todays' time. Feel free to share my success story to promote your amazing work. Keep up the good work. Best Regards

Dear Chris,
'J' seems to really get a lot out of your sessions with him. Most of the time he says very little about them, other than he has enjoyed them, but at the weekend he told us quite a lot when we were on quite a long car journey, which he often finds easier to talk. He was talking about trying to learn to take responsibility for his actions, which is great. Thank you.

Dear Mr Manners,
I understand you have been helping my son E with your sessions. I have been meaning to drop you a note for a long time to say thanks for doing for him what we as parents have been unable to do. You obviously have a great deal of experience and whilst I understand that the sessions are mainly about confidence building, this has been very useful training for E. Best wishes

Chris is totally commited to the welfare of young the people he works with and actively encourages them to achieve at their own level, ensuring no young person ever left a project he designed without feeling they had not aquired a new skill and could achieve no matter what their educational achievements were at school. The respect that Chris gained with young people City Wide was also reflected in his relationship with fellow colleagues. He is an excellent team member and always supportive, particularly in difficult situations. His quiet efficient manner gives confidence to others less able to cope in stressful situations.
